National Mole Day – October 23rd

This day commemorates Avogadro’s Number (6.02 x 10^23).  The chemical formula for a mole starts with the number 6.02.

In chemistry, a “mole” is a basic measuring unit. It equals the atomic mass of a single molecule and it is measured in grams. This measure was discovered by Italian Amadeo Avogadro.

Attend special chemistry celebrations, lessons, and experiments celebrating the theme of this day.
