Navy Day – October 27th

This day is the birth date of President Theodore Roosevelt, a huge supporter of the Navy. The sailors and personnel of the Navy serve our country and should be celebrated today.

This day commemorates Avogadro’s Number (6.02 x 10^23).  The chemical formula for a mole starts with the number 6.02. In chemistry, a “mole” is a basic measuring unit.
